I am currently trying to lift my jaw up off the floor. I just got back the images from the styled shoot I worked on earlier this month. did this really happen? is this real life? did I really just work with 4 other bomb ass ladies and create this magic??

phewwwww I am blown away.
let’s start from the beginning.
networking. that dreaded word. the word that means I have to go out of my comfort zone and talk to someone. yeah.. I like to stay in my zone.. and at this point you're probably wondering why I want to do any design work because that would imply I would need to speak to others. yup. I don’t know but i’m glad I choked down my fear.
fake it til you make it.
how many of us have heard that saying before?

2020 was the exact saying for me. it was about mid august when I realized that I didn’t want to let down the small handful of customers who had found me on Facebook. so I bought another farmers flowers. yep. you heard it here. and as not to be a complete fraud those flowers I bought I mixed in with my own, about 50-50. that summer jumpstarted my business.

2021. someone reached out asking if I did wedding flowers. i’ve read enough blogs, watched enough videos, how hard could it be? very, very hard actually. (i’ll save that for another blog post!) but without me even realizing it I was networking.

cue last fall when my first client Megan reached out and wanted to talk about creating some content so she could launch her event planning business in her new hometown. yes was my immediate answer. we chatted photographers and I had suggested Juliette after seeing her work on another project I was a part of. and boom it all started coming together. with Alyssa on hair and Gabby on makeup I couldn’t of asked to be a part of a better team. it became legit when we booked models and even more legit when I had to pivot my design due to a wholesaler missed communication. (another blog post on that one!)
but dang. everyone came and showed up. brought their best. are you ready to meet them?
